“My Country”, By Dorothea Mackellar – Australian Poetry Copy Work & Picture Study.

“I love a sunburnt country,

A land of sweeping plains.

One classic poem that I have loved introducing to my children this year is “My Country”, By Dorothea Mackellar. The musical and descriptive language takes you to all the places described and has been a favourite in our homeschool this year.

I’m an Australian homeschool Mama and love including as many Australian classic and modern artists, poets, authors, and musicians as possible. Without finding many options for Australian copy work (without needing to subscribe or buy a complete curriculum first) I decided to create it myself for my kids. I wanted to share it with you and hope it’s enjoyable for your family too.
