Do you have clients who need Auditory rehab? Ling Sounds Bingo is a fun way to practice the 7 Ling sounds for Australian accents. This game has been used with clients that have been given access to hearing aids as older children and need to learn to listen with their aids. It can also be useful for clients that need to work on the articulation of these sounds. The individual picture tiles have also been a useful visual cue for older clients learning to speak after cochlear implantation.
Sounds include
s – snake – initial “s” sound
sh – mouse sneaking – mouse is saying “sh”
ar – mouth open – saying ar
m – cupcake, yum – say “m”
ee – monkey – who says “ee”
aw – door- focus on the “aw” sound in door
oo – owls say whoo – focus on saying the “oo” sound
