Academic Writing Skills – Adult ESL Students – IELTS – Bundle

This bundle contains 3 structured packages each containing several lessons. It is designed for students who are intermediate level and above who need to write academic essays for IELTS or other academic purposes.

The lessons are based on the requirements of the IELTS exam although the concepts are applicable to any type of academic writing.

All of the lessons focus on essay structure which is a problem most IELTS students struggle with. To get a good grade in IELTS the student must have a well structured essay that answers the question.

Package 1 focuses on essay structure of opinion essays and the use of complex sentences and cohesive devices.

Package 2 looks at the 5 most common essay types and how to identify them. It examines the essay structure of an opinion essay and an advantages and disavantages essay type. It addresses common mistakes and ways to avoid them.

Package 3 focuses on Writing Task 1 which is a description of a graph, bar chart, table etc. It looks at the essay structure, language to describe trends in data and the language of comparison.
