Alphabet Arcs, elkonin sound boxes

This product aligns with a structured literacy (science of reading) approach. It contains 30 pages of alphabet arcs with different font and design options including:

• black & white both with & without rainbows and elkonin boxes
• coloured both with and without elkonin boxes
• different fonts
• lower and uppercase
• blue consonant and red vowel options

An alphabet arc is a great tool to help students develop alphabetic fluency. These can be used with magnetic letters for word building. The versions with red vowels would be a great tool to support students struggling to distinguish short vowel sounds. Students could locate a particular short vowel and the do some word building, or word chains with that particular vowel sound. They work well as a whole class warm up in the early years (enlarge to A3), sing and track the alphabet, cover letters so students can identify the missing letter.
