Australian Curriculum Maths | Year 2 | Place Value | Worksheets and Task Cards

These worksheets (printables) and task cards cover the place value of numbers to 1 000 – reading and writing numbers in words, ordering numbers, comparing numbers (using greater than and less than symbols), counting MABs, expanded notation and place value on the abacus for grade 2.

The worksheets make excellent consolidation and review work and may be used to assess your students’ understanding of number sequences. Use the task cards for whole class games such as Scoot and Scavenger Hunt (instructions included) or give them to small groups or individuals during Maths rotations/centres. Recording sheets and answers are also included. These are helpful for students to use to self-mark or they can be displayed on an electronic whiteboard and marked together as a class.
