Looking for an Australian Government Vocabulary activity with a twist of mystery to hook your class? Look no further! Use this engaging activity to develop your Year 6 students’ HASS vocabulary. This is best used as a front-loading activity. Your students will develop a deeper understanding of the HASS terms that are covered in the Australian HASS Government Unit for Year 6. This is great for helping your students to build their HASS vocabulary while providing opportunity for them to integrate knowledge. It can also be used in a Year 5/6 composite class because there are 2 different activities.

In this vocabulary match activity, students must find a mystery word by matching the Australian Government words to their definitions. After that, they can create their own puzzle with questions of their own.
