Build a Hardware & Software Interactive Flap Paper Laptop | Make a Laptop Craft
$6.50
Description
This is a hands-on activity that is fantastic for exploring the hardware and software of a digital system – a laptop/computer. Students are required to create their own paper laptop or paper computer that includes interactive flaps that expose the core internal hardware of a laptop such as the CPU, GPU, RAM and hard disk, as well as exploring common software such as Apple and Windows operating systems, files, documents and Microsoft applications. You have the ability to include an optional ‘webpage’ where students can define and explain hardware and software, making this a perfect formative assessment piece.
This resource includes a page of teaching resources that I use in my own digital technology specialist classroom to support hardware and software content teaching – it includes links to supporting Youtube videos, books, key definitions and learning intention display cards. Resources that will make teaching Digi Tech easy!
