Characters Traits – Fairy Tales

Understanding character traits and the difference between what a character looks like and what their personality is like, can be quite difficult for students.
This pack is designed to help students analyze well known characters from 16 famous fairy tales.
Each template comes in both colour and black and white, with a focus on the appearance (eye icon) and the personality (heart icon) of the main characters from each story.
The fairy tales included in this pack are:
1. Jack and the Beanstalk
2. Little Red Riding Hood
3. The Three Little Pigs
4. Beauty and the Beast
5. Goldilocks and the Three Bears
6. Hansel and Gretel
7. Rapunzel
8. Rumpelstiltskin
9. The Elves and the Shoemaker

15. The Little Mermaid
16. Sleeping Beauty
My students really enjoyed using these templates.
On the first day we read a fairy tale together as a class and completed the template together. On the following day, we read a second fairy tale together and the students completed their own template, before colouring it in. On the third day, my class watched a fairy tale on the iPad (they chose from a selection of 3) and completed the recording sheet independently as a literacy centre.
