$7.00
The quiz, worksheet, poster and spinning wheel resources in this bundle were designed to:
- Develop students’ knowledge of figurative language
- Expose students to different examples of figurative language
- Enable students to practice using figurative language in their own creative texts
The resources in this bundle have mainly been used on upper primary / lower secondary (middle school ) students and would be particularly useful for teachers who are teaching figurative language in Creative Writing and/or Short Story writing units.
Included resources/tasks:
- Interactive PowerPoint Quiz Game:
– The questions in this PowerPoint quiz focus on different examples of figurative language. Students can use the figurative language definitions poster/information sheet to assist with the more difficult questions (I also sometimes get students to research examples of figurative language online if they are finding a question difficult). There is 1 version of the PowerPoint quiz for students to use individually on their own computers and 1 version of the PowerPoint quiz that can be used with a classroom of students. This quiz game can be uploaded and used in the same way on Google Slides (the sound effects will only work on the original PowerPoint quiz files). The quiz has 15 questions about different types of figurative language and instructions on how to open the PowerPoints and work through the quiz are included. An interactive scoring sheet that students can use when completing the quiz game has also been included. The scoring sheet was initially designed to be printed and used with the classroom version of the PowerPoint quiz, but has now been made interactive for digital/online use also.
