Geometry Patterns Look Copy Build

There are 60 Pattern Cards with images of patterns for students to copy, colour and build with paper models and manipulatives. The hands-on activities use common things, found in every classroom: counters, blocks, paddle pop sticks, tangram pieces.. Ideal for Maths stations or individual tasks. Attempting and solving these challenges develop students’ ability to observe details, plan and to present their thinking.
Students look at details in the pattern card, then copy the design card with paddlepop sticks, counters, blocks and/or tangram pieces. Students can also reproduce it with paper cut out shapes which helps them make a better connection.
What’s included?
- 60 tasks where students look at the pattern card: color it and make it either with real manipulatives or paper cut outs.
- A general worksheet for student to use for paper models
- A task to find and colour different shapes.
- There are cut-out sheets for sticks, counters, blocks and tangram pieces
- A task recording sheet to keep track
