Hinamatsuri for Early Years Language Learners

Hinamatsuri – Girls’ Day, Doll Festival or Peach Festival, is celebrated annually on March 3rd. It is a day where families gather to celebrate and pray for their daughters’ health, happiness and prosperity.

This Hinamatsuri themed mini-unit is designed for little language learners and students in the early Junior Primary year levels.

Filled with mindful practices, songs and action rhymes, Auslan (Australian Sign Language), games and STEAM activities, this FREE resource is designed to engage and educate the children about Hinamatsuri – a cherished tradition that continues to be celebrated in Japan and by Japanese communities around the world.
