Inquiry Based Math Project | Perimeter and Area Math PBL | Dream Bedroom

This Perimeter and Area Inquiry Based Math Project, with the theme Dream Bedroom, investigates the use of area and perimeter as students work to design their own dream bedroom.

Students will be engaged and enjoy using numeracy in a real life situation. It has been designed for students in grades 3 to 6. Now suitable for home and distance learning with PDF and Google slides.

THE PERFECT WAY TO GET STUDENTS INTERESTED IN MATH!

The projects are easy to follow and can either be teacher run or student driven. Each math project is designed to run between 3-5 lessons depending on how much time you wish to allocate to the tasks.

Let your students design their dream bedroom, using a bird’s eye view. They are then able to practice the skills they have learned with perimeter and area to record the space they will take up in the room. Working out space is provided.
