Macaroni Speech Marks

Students learn best when presented with creative ways to understand a concept.

With this task, students are presented with multiple sentences that are missing the appropriate required speech (quotation) marks. Students place the macaroni (because they look like speech marks!☺) into the sentences. Students then copy the sentences into their books or on the provided recording sheet.

Instructions and 24 sentences using higher order speaking verbs are included.

Perfect for a Literacy center or independent station, students can work individually or with a partner.
