Math Counting Activities Numbers 0-10

This Maths resource is an easy, low-prep activities for student learning to count and represent numbers. Tasks involve reading, identifying and writing numbers, dice patterns, number words, tally marks, dominoes, finger counts, blocks, items and more.

There are 27 printable wheels; students answer by clipping pegs, counters, or writing. Each wheel has a different representation or concept. It encourages them to play, learn and enjoy MATH.

1. Use numbered pegs, for children to match to a wheel, each wheel involves a different skill, eg counting images, reading words, recognising numbers.
2. Use counters, pom poms or buttons, so children can match the numbers, words etc on the wheel.
3. There are very small pegs so children clip the appropriate number to each section.
4. Write number words on a set of pegs too, so sometimes the children use these to either match the word wheel, or later to match any wheel.

The activities are many! You can use whatever you have available, these are usually cheap items. The pegs also help with fine motor skills, so win win!
