Maths Games for Multiplication Facts Times Tables

These printable maths station games and are perfect way for students to use, recall and memorise times tables, or multiplication facts. The included answer grid, supports and allows every student to play independently, making this an ideal Maths station activity.

WHAT”S INCLUDED?

• 33 printable game boards: three for each set of multiplication facts, 2X, 5X, 8X etc One color, 2 black ink choices (same games)

HOW TO PLAY

• The goal of the game is to achieve 3 counters in a row
• Players roll, multiply, locate answer and cover.
• Winner is the first with a row of 3 (sometimes students agree to a row of 4 or 5 to increase difficulty)

To begin, allow students to use the answer grid to support them, until they no longer need it. They will be inspired to remember multiplication facts because it makes the game quicker and more fun.

These are good, no stress activities to send home for homework practice, too.

Playing in pairs encourages students to talk about their learning, decisions, successes, mistakes and I believe this sharing of ideas is vital to education.

The files are for black ink printing, so I suggest printing on bright, colorful paper and laminating for multiple uses.

As a substitute teacher or a tutor, this is a valuable activity, easily carried with you, adaptable for most ages and abilities.
