These are number puzzles, suitable for Years 2 and 3. There are slightly different levels, to help with differentiation. These are ideal for small group activities or Maths centres, because it encourages students to revise and review knowledge. There are slightly different levels, to help with differentiation.
There are 30 cards, with clues for students to keep eliminating numbers, until they are left with only one answer.
The first 12 cards deal with numbers 0-100, the rest use numbers 0-200.
I’ve used clues with:
- odd and even
- addition and subtraction signs
- greater than and less than
- shares equally by …
- doubles
- half, quarter, ½, 1/4
- sum, total, difference, digits
- century
I’ve included
- small answer sheets
- a tracking sheet (I wouldn’t expect every student to complete every task, once they become experts, they could move on to more difficult puzzles)
