Numbers with Sammy Spider

Numbers with Sammy Spider is a fun way for students to become familiar with numbers and counting.  Students select number cards and then count and place the correct number of insects in Sammy’s spider web.  As students become more confident with recognizing numbers 1 to 10, number word cards can be included.  There is also an option to include insect addition cards.  Adding or removing cards can be used to differentiate depending on each students individual level, extending students as required.

Numbers with Sammy Spider can also be used as a game, up to 5 students.  Each student is allocated an insect type.  Students take turns rolling a dice.  The number on the dice indicates how many of their insect needs to be placed in the web.  The first student to place all of their insects in the web wins.

• 5 different insect choices, 10 of each insect (50 insects in total)
• 10x purple number cards (numbers 1 to 10)
• 10x orange number word cards (numbers 1 to 10)
• 16x green insect addition cards

Each card is approximately 6cm x 8cm
