A Scope and Sequence document is a critical part of curriculum planning that provide a summary of all the relevant information related to a unit of study. A Scope & Sequence is an abbreviated plan derived from the Unit Outline. They provide links with learning outcomes and the elements of the Australian Curriculum (ACARA, 20022) that content and assessment tasks align with. A Scope & Sequence is a snapshot of curriculum, delivery and assessment. It is used in subject areas to map alignment with the Australian Curriculum, (ACARA, 2022), the sequence and timeframe of delivery and how content will be assessed. These documents use simple terms to summarise planning and delivery.
