Planning & Assessment TEMPLATES for Teachers – Task Description
$5.00
This is one of a SET OF RESOURCES that provide blank templates for Lesson Plans, Unit Plans, Scope and Sequence, Rubrics, Assessment Tasks, Assessment Matrices – and more.
Make your job a little easier – or at least faster! Access these templates to support your planning of content, delivery and assessment.
This resource is How to Write an Effective Task Description. It provides an exemplar, followed by an editable template to develop your own task description. Task descriptions are tricky – they must provide all the relevant information so that students fully understand the task. They must also provide links with learning outcomes and the elements of the Australian Curriculum (ACARA, 20022) that the task aligns with. But it should not say too much either. A task description needs the right balance of information – but also must be succinct and have clarity and cohesion.
These templates are suitable to any secondary year level and are in an editable format so that you can use them immediately and enter the specific information, images and data needed for your teaching. The exemplar makes them easy to follow. They are also suitable to primary teaching contexts with minor edits, as required by teachers.
