At the end of our Science lessons, my students LOVE playing games and they don’t even realize that they are learning! I use these games to reinforce and practice skills learnt in the directed lessons. Perfect for pair work, Science
stations / centers and fast finishers.
I personally prefer games that don’t require additional cards to be cut out, or pieces that can be easily lost, which is why this set is so awesome! All you need to do is grab some counters and dice, print and play!
This set of 11 engaging and original games include the themes of:
- Outer Space
- Sorting Waste
- Living, Non-Living and Once Living
- Animal Classifications
- Magnetism
- Natural or Man Made
- Solid, Liquid or Gas
- Vertebrates vs Invertebrates
- Push or Pull
- Simple Machines
- Conductor or Insulator
For consistency, all of the games are played the same way. Players take it in turns to roll a dice and move around the board. Read the word landed upon, and place a counter on an image in the middle grid that matches. Continue taking it in turns to roll, move and match. Whoever covers 4 in a row first wins!
Once your students understand how to play with the simple rules, all you need to do is grab some counters, a dice and print and play!
Each game contains full easy to read and follow instructions.
