Printable Maths Games for Multiplication Facts

These 11 printable math games are the perfect way to give students opportunity to master and remember multiplication facts. As they play, students are working on multiplication fact fluency, using and trying to quickly recall times tables facts. Each board has a sport theme. Easy print and play!

These are ROLL COVER BUMP games, so there is an extra element of fun and thinking strategy to engage students. This is a game for two players. In the beginning, students can use the answer grid for support, but soon they no longer need it. Remembering multiplication facts makes the game flow quickly, as it is inconvenient for students to have to refer to the grid.

HOW TO PLAY

• Players choose a board: each board involves one set of facts, 4X, 6X etc
• Players need one game board, 10 counters each and a 12-sided die (or two 6-sided dice)
• They roll the die, multiply by the number of the board, and cover the answer. If another player’s marker is on the answer, they can choose to bump them.

Playing in pairs encourages students to talk about their decisions, successes, mistakes and I believe this sharing of ideas is vital to education.

The files are mostly black ink printing. I suggest printing on colour paper and laminating for using multiple times.
