Sentence Functions Literacy Warm Up Review Statements Questions Commands Exclamations

In this Rapid Recall Routine, students will learn to identify and correctly use different sentence types: statements, questions, commands, and exclamations. They will become familiar with the boundary punctuation for each function, including capital letters, full stops, exclamation marks, and question marks. This practice will help students apply appropriate punctuation in their writing.

The Sentence Functions Rapid Recall Routine will provide 7-10 minutes of engaging daily practice for your students to recite, recall and apply their knowledge and understanding of the different Sentence Functions.

Students recite and recall the different functions of sentences, then apply their knowledge and understanding to identify statements, questions, commands and exclamations.

This Rapid Recall Routine can be used as a whole class warm up, a small group consolidation session or for individual practice and study. The slides can be used as a digital presentation or printed and used as flash cards.

Answers in the Recall Slides have entrance and exit animations that work seamlessly when presenting the PowerPoint.
