Significant People of Rottnest Island – Reading Comprehension Support

This cut-and-paste vocabulary matching activity supports students in Years 4–7 to understand and use key historical and social terms found in Significant People of Rottnest Island reading comprehension texts.

Students match subject-specific vocabulary (such as cultural, legacy, displacement, leadership and navigation) to clear definitions, strengthening reading comprehension and historical understanding. This resource can be used as:
•a pre-reading vocabulary introduction,
