Why use thousands charts? They’re great for differentiation! With these charts you can have children working at any level up to 10 000. Thousands charts a great to use alongside my hundreds chart for easy differentiation. Teach the same strategies and students can work at the just right level for them.

As my students moved above 100 I thought, “Wouldn’t it be great to have a chart to 1000 to use just like my hundreds chart?” I searched but couldn’t find a great one, so I made one – and now you don’t have to do all that work! We all know how essential a hundreds chart is to students developing their number sense but sometimes we forget that when they move to higher numbers. Yet, it is just as essential and with this product, it is not so easy. Just print and use.

Not sure how to use a 1000 chart? These charts can support other class activities with number and place value as well as other maths operations like addition and subtraction. I give you ideas for games to use with the charts to increase number sense and place value.
