With over 20 years of classroom experience, I create handmade toys and educational resources that truly engage young learners. I’ve seen firsthand how powerful play-based learning can be—but also how easily it gets pushed aside in today’s busy classrooms. Each resource I design is created with this balance in mind: playful, open-ended, hands-on learning experiences that are thoughtfully aligned with curriculum outcomes. My goal is to make it easier for teachers to incorporate meaningful play into their day, without adding extra pressure or preparation time. Each piece is lovingly handcrafted using high-quality textiles, with care and attention to detail. I aim to create resources that not only support learning, but also bring a sense of warmth, beauty, and wonder into your classroom—items children are naturally drawn to explore, touch, and enjoy. Many of my toys are made from a combination of wool and acrylic felt, along with cotton. To create the rich, tactile textures my resources are known for, a variety of construction techniques are used. Depending on the design, items may also include internal components such as polyfill, card, laminate, wood, rice, foil, polystyrene or adhesives. As they may contain small parts, my toys are not recommended for children under 3 years of age. I am mindful of sustainability wherever possible. Printed resources included with your purchase are typically produced on card, and in some cases laminated to increase durability or allow for repeated use with whiteboard markers. All products are designed with the time-poor teacher in mind. Each purchase includes a ready-to-use electronic document with curriculum-aligned statements that can be easily copied into your planning.
