I am an experienced Australian upper-primary teacher with a deep love of literacy, language, and teaching students how English words work.

Quality Teaching Resources (and Quality Writing Instruction) grew out of my classroom practice and my passion for explicit, evidence-informed teaching. I take great joy in helping students become curious about words, sentences, and how language shapes meaning. When students start asking why language works the way it does, real learning begins. I also love making the demands of good writing instruction easier for teachers, even down to ensuring that NAPLAN preparation is authentic and useful for students (not extra work for you).

My resources are classroom/teacher-tested, based on good practice, and aligned to the Australian Curriculum v9.0. They have been designed to support teachers with clear modelling, strong examples, and practical tools that build confident, capable writers.
