Compound Sentences FANBOYS – Which coordinating conjunction do I use?

‘Compound Sentences FANBOYS – Which coordinating conjunction do I use?’ is a chart I have developed which gives examples of each of the FANBOYS (coordinating conjunctions). Additionally, I have included a sentence which displays how to use each of the FANBOYS correctly. The last column allows children to write their own sentence using each one of the FANBOYS.

You can use this as a teaching resource and explicitly go through each example with your students, or it can be used as a homework sheet to review the concept that they learnt in class.

I have included one coloured sheet and one black and white sheet as well. I have also printed this in A3 to give the students more room to write.
