Reading Comprehension Tasks Using Pictures and Visualisation BUNDLE

This is a BUNDLE of reading activities to encourage students to visualise as they read, to increase their comprehension. The tasks involve students visualising and verbalising their ideas: connecting with the images, and higher order thinking, without the stress of de-coding.

Printed and laminated, they are a great resource to add to your literacy centres.

Because I’ve used images in half of the tasks, students don’t need to decode too much text, and can concentrate on thinking skills.

The resource includes differentiated learning and reading comprehension activities, using images and visual clues as the text. I find the images capture students’ interest and they naturally begin to engage and discuss and predict what’s happening.
