Reading Comprehension Tasks Using Pictures and Visualisation SET 1

This reading resource includes differentiated learning and reading comprehension activities, using images and visual clues as the text.
The tasks encourage students to connect with the images, and encourage higher order thinking, without the stress of de-coding.
Printed and laminated, these are a great resource to add to your literacy centres. Because I’ve used images in half of the tasks, students don’t need to decode too much text, and can concentrate on thinking skills. I find the images capture students’ interest and they naturally begin to engage and discuss and predict what’s happening.
These activities aim to improve reading comprehension skills.
This is SET 1.
