This resource explains the most common types of rubrics with 3, 4 and 5 levels in analytic rubrics.
However, not all rubrics are made equal! This resource explains the differences, the strengths and weaknesses of different types of rubrics and the implications of selecting the RIGHT rubric for your assessment tasks.
Exemplars are provided to illustrate the concepts discussed.
Do you know which type works best at different year levels and different subjects? This can be very confusing but this resource will help you understand what works best and provide some guidelines for best practice in writing standards for rubrics. You will be able to access examples that can immediately be applied in your tasks or contact us for more tailored information relevant to your classroom.
This resource is relevant to all year levels and all subjects. The principles will apply to all assessment types.
