Australian Curriculum Maths | Year 2 | Number Sequences | Worksheets and Task Cards

These worksheets and task cards provide support for your teaching of number sequences in Grade 2 and are aligned with the Australian Mathematics Curriculum (ACMNA026). Students are required to investigate number sequences, initially, those increasing and decreasing by twos, threes, fives and tens, then moving to other sequences.

The worksheets make excellent consolidation and review work and may be used to assess your students’ understanding of number sequences. Use the task cards for whole class games such as Scoot and Scavenger Hunt (instructions included) or give them to small groups or individuals during Maths rotations/centres. Recording sheets and answers are also included. These are helpful for students to use to self-mark or they can be displayed on an electronic whiteboard and marked together as a class.
