Characters Traits – Famous Fables

Understanding character traits and the difference between what a character looks like and what their personality is like, can be quite difficult for students.

This pack is designed to help students analyze well known characters from 12 famous fables.

Each template comes in both colour and black and white, with a focus on the appearance (eye icon) and the personality (heart icon) of the main characters from each story.

The fables included in this pack are:

My students really enjoyed using these templates.

On the first day we read a fable together as a class and completed the template together. On the following day, we read a second fable together and the students completed their own template, before colouring it in. On the third day, my class watched a fable on the ipads (they chose from a selection of 3) and completed the recording sheet independently as a literacy centre.
