Christmas Geometry Project | Christmas 2D Shapes Activity Math PBL

This real world mini math project with the theme Crazy Christmas Sweater, has students learning about 2D shapes and tessellating patterns in a fun PBL. This is great for assessment or group projects. Students will use a range of 2D shapes to come up with a range of crazy Christmas designs. They will need to label the name and number of sides of each shape used. The challenge is to create designs that have some tessellating patterns. Students will be engaged and enjoy using numeracy in a real life situation. It has been designed for students in grades 3 to 6. Now suitable for home and distance learning with PDF and Google slides.
