Easter Bunny Opinion Writing Real World Writing

Would you like an interesting topic for opinion writing this Easter? Students will incorporate persuasive and opinion vocabulary when planning their article to convince a judge if the Easter Bunny is innocent or guilty. Worksheets are included to help with persuasive vocabulary. It has been designed for students in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade students. Now suitable for home and distance learning with PDF and Google slides.

This PBL, called The Bunny Thief, has students us working with the scenario that the Easter Bunny is eating some of the chocolate eggs that they are meant to be delivering. They need to make a choice whether this makes the bunny innocent or guilty and to persuade the judge with their decision.

Each English project is designed to run approximately 3 lessons depending on how much time you wish to allocate to the tasks. (one lesson to brainstorm and plan, one to write and one to prepare their speech)

The projects are easy to follow and can either be teacher run or student driven.
