Multiplication and Division Facts FAN

This reference fan holds all the multiplication and division facts for multiplication, or times, tables: they are like personal or mini posters, that act as reminders, suggestions and support during Math centres or stations. This helps students work or play independently, without interrupting teaching moments. The children love the novelty of fans, and use often.

These are great resources for students to have on desks or in folders for reference, until they memorise the facts. They provide great support during Math games or task card activities. The fans close up into a tidy stack.

Print and laminate a few for the class, or most children are capable of cutting and assembling their own, as a craft activity.

Punch holes and assemble together with a split pin or a ring.

All fans don’t have to be the same; only give students the blades you want each individual to have. So if you haven’t discussed division yet, leave those blades until later. You can also use the blades as incentives; once a student learns a table, I give them the next blades to add to their fan. They think it is a reward!
