What If Questions Gifted and Talented Students Early Finishers Activities

These Divergent Thinking What If Questions are perfect extension activities for gifted students. These tasks focus on the higher order and critical thinking skills. Gifted students thrive on daily challenge, and are often deep thinkers. With Google Slides, PowerPoint and task cards in both colour and ink saving black and white they are sure to save teacher lots of time preparing enrichment activities for their gifted and talented students. Great for early finishers!

‘What if…’ questions are designed to elicit flexibility, originality and elaboration of thinking. They should encourage curiosity and imagination.

They are based on a strategy called Tolerance for Ambiguity from the Williams Model (1978). The goal of this model is to create divergent thinkers.
