Play Shop Printables

Imaginative play has so many benefits for children, but let’s face it, it’s also just lots of fun! So why not set up a fun shop in your classroom to practice working with money? This download contains all the printables you will need to set up an exciting shop area that maximises literacy and numeracy practice.

These printables can be used to set up a full imaginative play shop area, but if you are struggling to find room in your classroom to devote space to set up a full area, this gives you ideas about how to set up a fun and engaging ‘shop in a box’ that students can easily grab and set up during Maths time (or any other time) for dedicated maths play. I am currently using these with my Year 2s and 3s but you could use this right down to foundation, especially with the price tags that have pictures of coins for them to match to expose children to money and value through play.

Includes both Australian and New Zealand currency.
